Employment at the nation's hospitals rose by 0.19% in March to a seasonally adjusted 5,153,700 people, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. That's 9,900 more people than in February and 91,300 more than a year ago. Without the seasonal adjustment, which removes the effect of fluctuations due to seasonal events, hospitals employed 5,150,500 people in March – 14,000 more than in February and 91,500 more than a year ago. The nation's overall unemployment rate was unchanged in March at 4.1%.
