Administration unveils biodefense strategy
President Trump today announced a National Biodefense Strategy to “more effectively prepare for and combat biological threats.” The strategy, to be led by the Department of Health and Human Services, will address the “full range of biological threats, including those that are naturally occurring, deliberate, and accidental.” According to the White House, the strategy builds on lessons learned “to develop a more resilient and effective biodefense enterprise.”
