HHS seeks input on how to measure EHR interoperability
The Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology seeks public input through June 3 on how to measure the achievement of widespread exchange of health information through interoperable certified electronic health record technology by the end of 2018, as required by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act. The request for information seeks input on what populations and interoperability components to measure and what data sources and metrics to consider. MACRA requires HHS to establish the metrics by this July in collaboration with stakeholders.
